FUNDING OPPORTUNITY – Local Competition for NC ESG RFA 2025-2026
The NC509 Gaston-Lincoln-Cleveland Continuum of Care (G-L-C CoC) announces the FY 2025-2026Local Competition for funding through the North Carolina Emergency Solutions Grant (NC ESG) Program.
Interested applicants should carefully read the information provided and follow all
application instructions. The local competition is open to eligible applicants located in Cleveland, Lincoln, and Gaston counties (NC).
The FY2025-2026 RFA Emergency Solutions Grant Program public notice will be posted on the State ESG Office’s website. For assistance with the State’s website or documents, contact one of the ESG Homeless Programs Coordinators listed in their public notification.

The G-L-C CoC will host a Local Competition webinar for prospective applicants from Cleveland, Lincoln, and Gaston counties on Thursday, June 19th at 1pm. HealthNet Gaston serves as the Lead Agency for the Gaston-Lincoln-Cleveland Continuum of Care (NC509CoC) and, thereby, also serves as the regional applicant for NC ESG funding. Eligible applicants within the G-L-C CoC region (Gaston, Lincoln, and Cleveland counties) must apply for NC ESG funds through the G-L-C CoC Local Competition. The NC ESG Office requires that all project applicants apply through their Continuum
of Care. The NC ESG Office determines the amount of funding available for each CoC and publishes the annual NC ESG Request for Applications (RFA). Questions about the NC ESG RFA must be directed to the NC ESG Office – see their website for contact information..

Youth Homeless Systems Improvement
HNG started a new Project to create a response system for Homeless Youth. This project will allow us to create a response system for Homeless Youth. The Western NC Youth Homelessness Partnership is an ambitious initiative aimed at addressing the critical issue of youth homelessness across 20 rural counties in western North Carolina. Sponsored by HealthNet Gaston and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this project is designed to foster systemic change and build a robust, coordinated response to the unique challenges faced by youth experiencing and at-risk of experiencing homelessness across these communities.
